Hi, I’m Ayla!
My name is Turkish. I am not.
I was born and raised in a ten guestroom bed and breakfast in the rural Driftless Area of Wisconsin. Growing up, people from every corner of the globe would come to Spring Green and stay at my house while visiting the local attractions.
Buddhist monks, a shaman from the Amazon rain forest, movie producers from LA and Mongolian wanderers have walked through my front door and I’ve always been more than eager to share who I am through singing to them, cooking a meal, and sharing conversation.
My adult life has been a continuation of my childhood; I seek to travel the globe and share as much joy, culture, and good food with others as possible.
This blog seeks to document this process.
I will review restaurants, share personal anecdotes, travel stories and good food.
